Project Intern - Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
IIT Delhi
Developed a high-performance OCR model using transformer-based architectures, focusing on Urdu script recognition. Trained the Parseq OCR model on a large-scale dataset of 26 million images, achieving significant improvements in accuracy. Optimized text recognition pipelines by refining data augmentation techniques and loss functions. Addressed domain adaptation challenges by fine-tuning models for diverse handwriting styles and printed text variations.

Research Intern - Machine Learning for Battery Materials
IIT Ropar
Applied machine learning techniques to predict the electrochemical performance of doped lithium nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) cathodes. Evaluated various ML models, identifying XGBoost as the most effective for predicting initial and long-term charge capacities. Engineered domain-specific features capturing crystal structure, dopant effects, and electrochemical properties. Conducted extensive model validation to ensure robust and reliable performance insights for battery material research.
